Blackboot Records was founded on a passion for music and deep-rooted desire to empower and support artists and nurture their talent. The label embraces a vision of supporting artists in every aspect of their journey – from amplifying their music to building their brand and securing lasting success. As the label builds, it has forged partnerships with industry veterans to support its label services and ensure artists have the best support and guidance.

The label is founded by entrepreneur and business owner, Mat Black. Through business acumen, an unyielding work ethic, and a commitment to mentoring his employees, Mat transformed his building industry business, which began with just four employees in 2010, into a thriving multi-million dollar enterprise with over 80 employees today. But amid this success, there was an immense zeal for music that Mat felt calling him. After adversity in his personal life, Black became committed to building Blackboot Records. In 2020, Mat took a monumental step – selling the majority of his prosperous building business to an investment firm, allowing him to dedicate himself to Blackboot Records and its artists.

Blackboot Records is committed to mentorship and collaboration with its artists, creating a close-knit community that fosters creativity, and looks forward to releasing some amazing new music soon.
